Bebe Rexha treated her 10.7 million Instagram followers to a glimpse behind the scenes of her latest music video, sharing a new post on Tuesday that captured the glamour and energy of her newest release.

The 33-year-old singer-songwriter posted a short video featuring exclusive backstage footage from the video for her song Heart Wants What It Wants. Drawing inspiration from the 1970s, the upbeat, synth-driven dance track is matched by vibrant visuals and vintage styling.

Originally released on 17 February, the video showcases Rexha in full 70s glam — feathered blonde hair, colourful retro outfits, and dreamy makeup looks that channel the disco era. In her latest Instagram clip, she takes fans through her transformation, starting from a sleek hairstyle in the dressing room to stepping out in dazzling stagewear.

One of the standout outfits featured in the footage is a figure-hugging nude catsuit adorned with glittering stones. The ensemble, paired with a voluminous wig parted to the side and cascading waves, transforms the singer into a modern-day disco diva. She completes the look with oversized chandelier earrings covered in rhinestones, coordinated rhinestone embellishments on her eyelids, shimmering blue eyeshadow, and glossy nude brown lipstick.

Fans were quick to show their enthusiasm, flooding the comments with messages like “yes yes yes!” and “drop the album girlie,” expressing their excitement for what’s next.

Another scene reveals Bebe wearing metallic baby blue tracksuit bottoms, a pink cropped top, and silver heels. Her platinum blonde hair is styled in voluminous, feathered layers — a nod to the signature Farrah Fawcett aesthetic. In one particularly striking shot, Rexha is seen performing in front of a vintage brown bus, surrounded by cameras as she commands the scene.

The singer, known for chart-topping hits like In the Name of Love and Meant to Be, had already hinted at this nostalgic new direction during an interview at the 2023 Grammy Awards. Speaking on the red carpet, she revealed, “I have new music that I’m putting out in the second week of February, so I’m very excited.”

She added, “It’s a blast into the ’70s. That’s why we’re doing a little bit of Farrah Fawcett.” Rexha also shared a personal note on her musical influences: “I grew up with immigrant parents, so we didn’t really listen to ’70s music that much. We listened to Albanian music, and then I did a deep dive into the ’70s, and I was like, ‘Wait, Fleetwood Mac? Diana Ross? What’s going on?’”
